If you live in Quintana Roo and love spending time outdoors, surrounded by nature, culture, and family-friendly fun, there’s a good chance you’ve considered an annual pass to Xcaret Park. With its cenotes, jungle trails, underground rivers, and evening shows, Xcaret is one of the Riviera Maya’s top attractions—and it’s right in our backyard.
What many locals don’t know is that there’s a special access option made just for us: the Soy Xcaret annual pass. It offers unlimited access to the park for an entire year, exclusive to Quintana Roo residents. I had this pass myself a few years back and absolutely loved it. Being able to pop into the park for a few hours on a weekday or bring visiting friends without buying a full-price day pass made it more than worth the cost.
In this post, I’ll walk you through everything you need to know about the Soy Xcaret pass—who it’s for, how to get it, what it includes, and why it’s still one of the best deals around for locals.

What Is the Soy Xcaret Annual Pass?
Table of Contents
The Soy Xcaret pass is a resident-exclusive annual membership that grants unlimited entry to Xcaret Park—the flagship park in the Grupo Xcaret portfolio. Unlike tourist tickets that must be purchased per visit, this pass gives locals the flexibility to come and go throughout the year.
It’s ideal for people who live in the Riviera Maya and want to take advantage of having such a world-class eco-park right in their own backyard.
Why It’s Worth Considering
Unlimited park access means you can stop by for just a couple of hours—swim a river, grab a snack, catch part of the Xcaret México Espectacular—and leave without feeling like you need to squeeze everything into a single exhausting day. It’s great for showing off the region to visiting family and friends or simply enjoying the park at your own pace.
Even though food, transportation, and optional experiences aren’t included, the base access alone makes it worthwhile if you plan to go even just three or four times a year.
Another huge bonus? Daily visitor limits introduced by Xcaret do not affect Soy Xcaret passholders. So even during holidays or peak tourist season, your entrance is still guaranteed.

Who Can Get the Pass?
This membership is available exclusively to residents of Quintana Roo. To qualify, you’ll need to present official identification showing proof of local residence, such as:
- A valid INE (Mexican voter ID) with a Quintana Roo address
- Or a valid temporary or permanent resident card (FM2/FM3) with an address in the state of Quintana Roo.
There are no exceptions—this is strictly a locals-only perk.
How to Get It
You must apply for the Soy Xcaret annual pass in person at the Xcaret Park ticket office. There’s currently no online registration or reservation system for this membership.
Bring the following:
- Your proof of residency
- A valid photo ID
- Payment, which must be made directly at the park (they accept cash and card)
How Much Does It Cost?
As of the latest available information:
- Adults: $3,500 MXN
- Children: $2,625 MXN
Prices may change, so it’s always a good idea to check with the park before you go.
Your membership is valid for one year from the date of purchase, so there’s no need to time your visit to the beginning of the calendar year.
If you have friends and family visiting, Xcaret should be at the top of your “must-do” list. Just remember to purchase entry tickets in advance for anyone in your group who is not a Soy Xcaret passholder.

What’s Included
- Unlimited entry to Xcaret Park for 12 months
- Discounts on select services and in-park activities (check with staff for current details)
This pass is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy the park on a regular basis without paying day-use rates each time.
What’s Not Included
It’s important to note that the Soy Xcaret pass does not include:
- Access to other Grupo Xcaret parks (like Xel-Há, Xplor, Xenses, etc.)
- Food and drinks inside the park
- Transportation to and from the park
- Access for guests without the Soy Xcaret pass
- Optional experiences, such as dolphin swims, spa treatments, or Temazcal ceremonies
Soy Xcaret Members can still take advantage of in-park discounts on some of these services—just ask at guest services during your visit.
Daily Visitor Limits? No Problem.
In response to growing attendance, Xcaret recently implemented daily capacity limits to help preserve the quality of the visitor experience. These limits apply to general admission tickets—but not to Soy Xcaret members.
If you have a valid membership, your access is still guaranteed—even during busy holidays and long weekends.
Important: If you are planning to bring along additional friends and family who are not annual passholders, you should definitely plan to reserve online in advance for their tickets rather than take your chances as the entry.

Is the Xcaret Annual Pass Right For You?
If you’re a Quintana Roo resident and love the idea of reconnecting with nature, experiencing cultural performances, and enjoying one of Mexico’s most impressive eco-parks year-round, the Soy Xcaret annual pass is absolutely worth it.
